30 Birds is a narrative puzzle game set on rotating lanterns, inspired by Persian art, where players explore a vibrant world and help Zig rescue Simurgh, the missing bird goddess.
We defined the overall audio direction to match the game’s strong visual identity and narrative tone, across very different scenes and gameplay systems. We implemented music-synthesizer minigames and several player-driven looping systems that react in real time to the player's choices. Particular care was given to representing the game’s dub-inspired sound aesthetic, and to supporting key narrative moments through sound alone, without relying on music.
