
Rise of Humanity is a post-apocalyptic strategy game where players manage and battle in a world dominated by machines and ruined environments.
The overall sound direction focused on robotic sound design and large-scale apocalyptic ambiences to convey the collapse of human civilization. To ground this science-fiction setting, we also carried out dedicated field recording sessions with old, rusty tools, used as a physical and organic foundation for many of the game’s mechanical sounds. A major creative and technical challenge was the design of dynamic music transitions and systems in FMOD, tightly coupled with gameplay states.
