Silhouette is an asymmetric local multiplayer VR game in which one player becomes the giant Overseer, while the other plays a tiny Challenger hiding in the crowd in a tense game of cat and mouse.
Our work focused on designing audio systems tightly coupled with the game’s procedural and hand-tracked gameplay. The main challenge was to make sound feedback remain reliable, readable and expressive despite constantly changing player interactions and player-driven behaviors.
