Marco & Polo Go Round is a 14-minute VR short film directed by Benjamin Steiger-Levine, produced by Item 7 and Belga Productions with Dpt. (Montreal). A surreal love story in which gravity shifts and the world literally crumbles around a couple in crisis, the piece was built using volumetric video capture and motion capture to preserve the full physicality of the performances. It premiered at Tribeca 2021 and was released on Steam and HTC Viveport. Demute provided sound design, audio systems, and the immersive mix.
