Élèves en liberté is a room-scale augmented audio experience developed in coproduction with Instants Productions and RTBF, set inside a real Belgian school practicing active learning.Visitors wearing headphones explore the physical classroom while a dynamic sound world ofr reconstructed voices, ambient layers, and interview fragments plays back spatially around them based on their position and movements.

Demute designed and built the core audio technology: custom headsets integrating gyroscopes and spatial positioning beacons, feeding real-time data to an on-board processing system that rendered a shared, interactive sound space for multiple simultaneous participants.
