Libération 1944 is a VR experience created for the Mons Memorial Museum to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Mons. Visitors choose a perspective (American soldier, German soldier, resistance fighter, or civilian) and experience the final hours of World War II through 4K stereoscopic 360° footage shot with live actors on location. The installation ran across 16 simultaneous headstations. Demute designed the spatialized audio and immersive mix that placed each viewer at the center of the historical drama.
